History of the Úvaly Wine Cellar

The press room of our wine cellar dates back to 1905. This date can be seen on the main beam in the ceiling. However, the history of the underground part of our cellar stretches even one century back. Worth mentioning are the vaulted ceilings in the cellar, the oldest ones were made from stone the later ones from bricks.

In 2002 the present owner - Ms Daniela Valentová bought the wine cellar and started with its reconstruction. In 2007 the building works on the guesthouse started and now it offers comfortable modern and stylish accommodation for 38 persons, a lecture hall and a restaurant.

The wine cellar offers a 145 meters long breathtaking labyrinth of corridors covering an area of 295m2. Individual cellars are connected, they cover 2/3 of the complex and have three exits.
